Despite using my snappy little Canon PowerShot for my photography needs (consisting mainly of photographing myself at events in black and white), I lust for a Leica camera. The authenticity, the quality, the quiet sophistication: Leica is the holy grail. I didn’t think I could want one any more than I already do, but behold the Leica M7 Limited Edition Hermès Camera.
Only 200 of these will be created, selling for $14,000 each. Pricey? Yes, but still less than the crocodile Birkin Bag and that doesn’t even take pictures.

If I hadn’t just bought a new digital camera from Cannon, this is what I would have purchased (had I had the extra bank as well). Red hot graffiti artist, André (who’s also collaborated with Belvedere to design the IX bottle), has now put his mark on the Leica camera. The piece will be a limited edition (only 30 will be produced) and sold exclusively at Colette in Paris. So chic!

Leica's Limited Edition Safari Camera
Have an extra 10K lying around somewhere? Rather than watch it go up in smoke in the stock market you could either buy ten pairs of Tom Ford jeans or (a better investment) Leica’s limited edition Safari M8 camera. The modernized digital version of the original M8 boats features like 10.3 megapixel quality shots and an overall beautiful body. Only 500 will be made available to the public worldwide and each is expected to retail at around $10,000.
