Last month, I styled Dana-Maxx‘s Fall 2010 look book. Dana-Maxx is both a friend and a fabulous young designer so I was very excited to work on this with her. Her theme for Fall 2010 was a futuristic fembot not afraid to walk all over you: She was strong, sexy and little crazy. When I was getting dressed last night for Robert Verdi’s LOGO premiere, I was going through that age-old problem of “I have nothing to wear and I hate everything in my closet.” It was just as I was about to capitulate to the wardrobe demons and don some uninspired, previously-worn outfit that I realized–I had Dana-Maxx‘s entire Fall 2010 collection sitting on a rolling rack in my kitchen (yes, I have a rolling rack in my kitchen instead of a table–I know my priorities).
I had styled Dana-Maxx’s look book this weekend and the clothes ended up back in my apartment since we ended so late. I fell in love with this sweater the moment I first laid eyes on it and knew fate would put it on me. I love the shoulder embellishments and the fitted frame. It’s like Balmain had a baby with Alexander Wang.
