NIXON Holiday Watch Collection For Barney’s
Watch company NIXON has once again partnered up with Barney’s to create a limited set of timepieces for the retailer as its “Holiday Watch Collection.” I died slightly when my eyes fell upon this watch, which I am going to have a very hard time resisting if it is on the lower end of the line’s $165 to $1995 price range. With its tortoise shell dial, simple brushed (metal?) band and gold accents, it’s absolutely stunning–not to mention the epitome of my style. I am less enthused by the rest of the watches in the collection which have a vintage militaristic feel. Oh, watch of the tortoise shell dial, I have eyes only for you.
The sad thing is that I know that there will be one of two outcomes: either the watch is the most expensive in the line (probable), or it’s on the less expensive side and the watch feels insubstantial and cheap. [Via]

I’d say its probably 90% likely that the tortoise shell watch is the most expensive one. Those endangered giant tortoises don’t come cheap. The international tortoise shell price has remained high, only dipping due to flash fires increasing supply
