V Magazine proves that a swimsuit edition doesn’t have to be lowbrow (we’re looking at you, Sports Illustrated)–in its latest issue whose reach will surely extend beyond its female readership, cougar models Kate Moss, Gisele Bundchen, Naomi Campbell, Eva Herzigova, Daria Werbowy and Claudia Schiffer pose for Mario Testino in swimwear alongside sinewy male models in equally skimpy numbers.

Matthew Williamson should definitely be thanking his lucky stars that bright prints and neon are the hottest thing to hit fashion since…well when they first hit back in the 80′s. His women’s line for H&M has already been a blowout success, with first shipments selling out in a matter of hours. The men’s line offers the same flashy style and recession-friendly prices.
It’s definitely not the average Joe who can rock fluorescent hues, but those that can should stock up for summer–if you can’t be in the tropics, you might as well wear them.

Summer is nearly here and if you’re lucky, that means weekend excursions outside the sweltering city. Whether that translates to rides out on the Jitney to East Hampton or a Jet Blue flight out to LA, you need something stylish to stuff in those overhead compartments.
This Neil Barrett over-sized leather bag is the perfect carry-on with enough room to fit a pair of shoes and a weekend’s worth of clothes. It’s also just small enough to use as an everyday city accessory for daily travels.

For Christopher Lee Sauvé, the t-shirt is only a humble medium in which to showcase his art. First and foremost a pop-artist with an irreverent wit and finger on the pulse of Manhattan’s snarky creative class, Sauvé has already caused a stir with several of his designs–most notably the “Save Anna” shirt that’s become a cult hit–even being purchased by the Metropolitan Museum of Art for its Costume Gallery inventory. He even incurred the wrath of one blond, waif-thin celebrity stylist when he created a shirt that depicted a bunch of bananas with the subtitle, “Bananas. I die.” Who knew a common noun could be copyrighted?
What started as a joke has spread like a case of Swine Flu, now carried in 7 New York as well as Harvey Nichols and several Japanese retailers.
Shirts are available for $65 online.

T-Shirt designer and scenester Prince Peter is having his first trunk sale for his namesake hipper-than-thou T-Shirt collection. Stop by tomorrow for some cocktails and shopping at 355 Bowery.
We recommend the “chain of fools” shirt–over-sized. It’s the perfect irreverent top for a night out at wherever hipsters hang out. Williamsburg lofts? Beatrice? Yeah, don’t ask us.

Temperatures in New York City this weekend are expected to peak in the high eighties and while for some this automatically means an unfortunate flip-flop renaissance, the stylish man knows better.
Spring calls for a suede moccasin: comfortable yet refined and dignified, this season bold colors make a statement with everything from white jeans to tailored shorts.
This pair with a elasticised heel fits like a slipper and is more comfortable (and better for your feet) than a flip-flop or mandal. Sockless goes without saying.
$270 via Yoox.

At just twenty-two, the Brazilian designer behind eponymous label Halleck Fashion Engineering is already making waves in his home country. A recipient of the Rio Moda Hype award, Halleck showed his first collection for Fall/Winter 2009 at Rio Fashion Week.
The collection’s focus is on construction, approaching fashion “with an engineer’s eyes” to create pieces that combine mathematical modeling and proportion with couture styling.
The clothes share characteristic’s of Raf Simons minimalism with some of Junya Watanabe’s subversive mismatching.

This should put to rest the debate over whether fashion is art–if it’s art on a canvas, then why not on a jacket? That’s just what American designer Jeremy Scott did when he used Keith Haring’s signature pop art print on this white leather motorcycle jacket. At 1,945 Euros, it’s a bit on the pricier side, but a bargain compared to a Haring original!
Round off the outfit with a pair of Stephen Sprouse for Louis Vuitton leggings and you’re a walking MoMA exhibit.

If you thought Tom Ford’s bespoke suits were pricy at about 10K each, then brace yourself: this suit to the left by English menswear designer Alexander Amosu has just sold to an anonymous client for over $100,000.
Forbes reports: The one-off creation took 80 hours to complete, at a price of about 14 pounds per stitch, and will be transported to the confidential venue in an armored Range Rover. The single-breasted, single-buttoned suit was made from rare materials such as Vicuna wool, which can only be shorn once every three years from the South American camelid, and Qiviuk wool, gathered from the Arctic muskox.
Sounds like the emporer’s got a new set of clothes!
